Comedy Bingo Winter Socials sponsored by Belong Birkdale are back in Southport today (Wednesday 21st October 2026) with some great prizes to be won by those playing.
The popular Comedy Bingo fortnightly events will resume at Southport Market in association with Belong Birkdale.
Doors open at 1pm for a 1.30pm start, continuing until 3pm / 3.30pm.
Event organiser Brendan Riley said:
“I’d like to give a big shout out to KLS Law Solicitors, Tik Taco, Vue Cinema in Southport, Silcock’s Funland, Portovino, and the Southport Flower Show for supporting the Comedy Bingo Winter Socials sponsored by Belong Birkdale and supported by Sefton Council!
“Our first show back is this Wednesday at the brilliant Southport Market and we’re really excited to see everyone coming out and playing comedy bingo once again.
“These nights are definitely getting darker at the moment so now is the perfect time to come out and enjoy a fun afternoon – with some fantastic prizes to be won too! Eyes down!
“The doors will open at 1pm with tickets just £4 each, which includes all your bingo cards, plus a free hot or cold drink.
“You can either pay on the door, or pre book via the Skiddle website: Tickets: Comedy Bingo Winter Social @ Southport Market | Southport Market Southport Wed 21 October 2026
#“We have a brand new sponsor on board with Belong Birkdale. We’re very grateful to them for supporting these events, which means that we can keep ticket prices as low as possible.
“We’re also grateful for our ongoing support from Sefton Council Tourism and the team at Southport Market.
“This is the fourth year we have held these events and the response has been superb. I have had lots of emails and Southport Market has had many messages from people asking when Comedy Bingo Winter Socials are coming back.
“We have a really loyal following of people who come to every one, and it’s always great to see lots of new faces too.
“Comedy Bingo is a really fun, entertaining and interactive event that can be played by anyone from 1 to 105!
“We get a real mix of people coming to our afternoons from pensioners, to young mums, families with kids, people on their own. We give a really warm welcome to everyone!
“Since the Covid pandemic, loneliness has been on the rise, and we wanted to create an event where everyone can come together in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere and have a really enjoyable afternoon – who knows, you might win some great prizes too!”
The Comedy Bingo Winter Socials will continue until March next year, and will include two Comedy Bingo Winter Social Christmas specials.
This is the fourth year that Comedy Bingo Winter Socials have taken place at Southport Market.
They are all about bringing people together during these colder months, putting smiles on people’s faces and giving a warm welcome to anyone who fancies a fun afternoon out.
The first few Comedy Bingo afternoons at Southport Market will take place on:

- Wednesday 4th November 2026

Kathryn Dee, General Manager at Belong Birkdale, said:
“We are delighted to be sponsoring this year’s Comedy Bingo Winter Socials. Supporting communities and bringing people together is very much what Belong is all about, and so we’re pleased to assist in making this fantastic events programme happen for Sandgrounders.
“Our customers at sister Belong villages are looking forward to popping up to join the fun, and once Belong Birkdale opens in early 2027, we’ll be supporting our new residents and tenants to come along too.”
